Everton – Stoke City

Everton welcomes Stoke City in a match from the Premier League’s first round. The game is going to be played on Saturday’s afternoon at the Goodison Park in Liverpool. Here are our soccer predictions for this interesting clash.

Wayne Rooney’s return! This is why every Everton fan is expecting this match with a lot of impatience. The English international came back to his very first club, after spending a lot of years at Manchester United. Now all of Everton’s fans want to welcome him back at home.

Rooney signed with Ronald Koeman’s team, after he was told by Jose Mourinho that he can leave United. Although he’s already 31-years old, Rooney’s class is not debatable. He remains one of the best English players of his generation and he surely have a few more years of good football in him.

Everton had to sell their star striker Romelu Lukaku, who changed the blue shirt with the red one of Manchester United. But Everton signed an exciting replacement for the Belgian – Sandro Ramirez. He’s just 22-years old and he was signed from the Spanish Malaga. Sandro is an youth product of the famous Barcelona academy and he has enough skills to succeed in the Premier League. He’s surely a player to watch this season.

As for Stoke City, there isn’t a lot to be said about Mark Hughes’ team. For season after season, their goal remains a survival in the Premier League and securing a respectable position in the table, if it’s possible. Stoke is a team with a rich experience in the Premier League already, so they  have what it takes to reach their goals. Or at least it looks like this way.
