Mallorca host Real Sociedad in a game from the second round of the Spanish La Liga

The newcomers Mallorca host Real Sociedad in a game from the second round of the Spanish La Liga. This is a first match at the Iberostar Estadi in the beautiful Palma de Mallorca. Let’s take a look in our La Liga predictions.

Mallorca had the best start of the season possible, beating Eibar with 2-1 at home in the first round. Vicente Moreno’s team opened the score with an early goal from Dani Rodriguez, but Paulo Oliveira equalised for Eibar after the halftime break.

Mallorca’s winning goal was scored fiftheen minutes before the end of the game. Ironically, the man who equalised for the visitors – Paulo Oliveira, scored himself an own goal and put his team on the back pedal. Until the end of the game Mallorca’s defense did well and kept the team’s advantage.

Everyone at Mallorca is aware that most likely the team will fight for survival this season. That’s why it’s pretty great for the club to begin the campaign with a win.

Real Sociedad on the other hand started the season with a draw. The Basques visited Valencia at the Mestalla and won a point after a 1-1 draw. The French target man Kevin Gameiro opened the score for Los Che, but La Real equalised with a very late goal from a penalty kick, scored by Mikel Oyarzabal. It was a very dramatic end of the game, but pretty happy one for Real Sociedad.

The French centre back Modibo Sagnan won’t be avaliable for Real Sociedad for the visit to Mallorca. Meanwhile the home team can’t use Josep Sene, Abdon Prats and Aridai Cabrera who are all injured.

These are our La Liga predictions for the La Liga fixture between Mallorca and Real Sociedad from the second round. Both teams started the new campaign unbeaten, but let’s see if they can remain unbeaten.
