Football tips tonight for Dortmund vs Koln

Borussia Dortmund welcomes Koln at the Signal Iduna Park in a Bundesliga game which the hosts have to win. We are going to explain you why during our football tips tonight.

Borussia Dortmund are among the teams which fight for the Bundesliga title this season, but right now they are 4th in the standings with 7 points behind the leader RB Leipzig. Nothing is lost just yet for Die Borussen, but Lucien Favre’s team only chance of winning the gold is improving the performance and being more consistent when it comes to results.

In the previous round Borussia Dortmund paid a visit to Augsburg and this game offered us some spectacular emotions. Until the 59th minute Augsburg had a 3-1 lead at the WWK Arena, but the young Norwegian striker Erling Haland proved why he is going to be a huge star in future. He entered the pitch in the 56th minute and scored a hattrick in his first game for the visitors. The game ended with a 5-3 win for Dortmund. Julian Brandt and Jadon Sancho also scored for the winning team.

Because of his marvelous performance last week, we shall expect to see Erling Haland starting against Koln on Friday. It’d be a really strange decision if the manager Lucien Favre leave him on the bench.

Meanwhile Koln are still enjoying their great ressurection. The Billy Goats managed to record four consecutive wins in the league, which allowed them to escape the relegation zone. Now they are 13th in the standings with 20 points. Nobody really expected that Koln could win four consecutive matches, but well – it happened.

Last week the Billy Goats hosted Wolfsburg at their own RheinEnergieStadion and celebrated a convincing 3-1 win. The Colombian striker Jhon Cordoba scored twice, while Jonas Hector added one more for the hosts.

Because of Koln’s amazing current shape it’s going to be curious to see how they will do against Borussia Dortmund on Friday. Meanwhile the hosts are probably going to play the wonderkid Erling Haland from the first minute.
