Metz hosts the champion PSG in a match from the fourth round of the French Ligue 1

Metz hosts the champion PSG in a match from the fourth round of the French Ligue 1. We are going to take a look at this fixture at the Stade Saint-Symphorien in our soccer matches tomorrow.

Metz started the season with one win, one draw and one loss in their first three games. Right now they are 11th in the standings with four points won. In their last game Frederic Antonetti’s boys travelled to face Angers SCO, but suffered a 0-3 loss. El Melali, Santamaria and Alioui scored for the hosts, not leaving any chance to Les Grenats.

The reigning champion PSG is currently third in the Ligue 1 with six points won. Thomas Tuchel’s team won two of its first three games in the league, but suffered a defeat during the visit to Rennes in the second round.

In the previous round Les Parisiens redeemed themselves after the loss in Rennes. The champions hosted Toulouse at home and celebrated a dominant 4-0 win at the Parc des Princes. PSG scored all of their goals during the second half of the game. Eric Choupo-Moting opened the score for the hosts, while Toulouse’s Mathieu Goncalves scored himself an own goal. Choupo-Moting added one more goal to his name, while Marquinhos scored the final fourth goal in Baptiste Reynet’s net.

The bad news for the manager Thomas Tuchel is the fact that three of his players recieved injuries during the game. Abdou Diallo, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani all left the pitch with injuries. When you add to this the fact that Neymar is still unavaliable, it looks like Tuchel has some serious problems to deal with.

That’s our soccer matches tomorrow prediction for the  Ligue 1 clash between Metz and PSG on Friday. The visitors are always favourites, but with so many injuries in their squad, maybe Metz have a chance here.
