PSV – Az Alkmaar

PSV hosts AZ in a match from the first round of the Dutch Eredivisie. This is the most interesting clash from the first round of the league. It’s going to be played on Saturday night in Eindhoven and here are our soccer betting tips for this.

Last season in the Eredivisie was dissapointing for both PSV and AZ. PSV finished third after Feyenoord and Ajax, while AZ ended their participation in the league at 6th place. Ridgeciano Haps and Derrick Luckassen were sold to Feyenoord and PSV for a combined sum of 11 million euro. Meanwhile the Norwegian Markus Henriksen was sold to the English Hull City.

We can’t say that everything which PSV and AZ did on the summer transfer market was impressive. They brought in some players, but no one of them is bringing this “wow effect” which the fans want to feel. It’s a matter of time to see how these transfers are going to change the situation for PSV and AZ. They are big clubs and they have strong squads, but are they enough to fight with Ajax and the champion Feyenoord?
